Global Motorsport requests 120-day exclusivity extension

By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, May 28 - Global Motorsport Group, Inc. has requested a 120-day extension to its exclusive periods to file a plan of reorganization and solicit votes on the plan, according to a Wednesday filing with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

Specifically, the company wants to extend its exclusive plan-filing period to Sept. 29 and the solicitation period to Nov. 27.

According to the motion, Global Motorsport is focused on negotiating the terms of a plan of reorganization as well as dealing with post-sale closing issues.

The company said it also needs more time to analyze claims.

A hearing is scheduled for June 25.

Global Motorsport, a Morgan Hill, Calif.-based wholesale distributor of aftermarket motorcycle parts and accessories, filed for bankruptcy on Jan. 31. Its Chapter 11 case number is 08-10192.
