Global Industries founder expects election to board, reports 9.9% stake

Charlotte, N.C., Nov. 21 - Global Industries, Ltd. founder and retired chief executive officer William J. Doré Sr. expects to be elected to fill the vacancy on the company's board of directors following the resignation of Global Industries' chairman and CEO in October, according to a schedule 13D filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Doré reported beneficial ownership of approximately 11.13 million shares, or 9.9%, of the company's common stock in the filing.

Global Industries is a Carlyss, La.-based provider of construction and support services to the offshore oil and gas industry.
