S&P cuts Global Eagle

S&P said it downgraded Global Eagle Entertainment Inc. to CCC-.

“We believe the Covid-19 pandemic and corresponding lack of air and cruise travel increases the likelihood that Global Eagle may default over the next six months,” said S&P in a press release.

The agency cited tightening liquidity, very weak credit metrics and uncertainty around the timing and rate of a recovery.

The outlook is negative.
