Global Aviation granted 61-day exclusivity extension for negotiations

By Kali Hays

New York, Feb. 24 - Global Aviation Holdings Inc. has been granted an extension of its exclusive plan of reorganization filing and acceptance periods, according to a Monday order with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware.

The company's filing period has been extended through May 12 from March 13 and its solicitation period through July 11 from May 12.

As previously reported, the company expected to file a plan before its initial exclusivity period expired but wanted the extension in case plan negotiations continued into March.

Global Aviation, a Peachtree City, Ga.-based provider of charter air transportation for the U.S. military and of commercial global passenger and cargo air transportation services, filed for bankruptcy on Nov. 12. The Chapter 11 case number is 13-12945.
