Global Aviation creditors vote to accept plan; confirmation delayed

Wilmington, Del., Nov. 28 - Global Aviation Holdings Inc.'s single voting class of creditors accepted the company's Chapter 11 plan of reorganization, according to documents filed Nov. 27 with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of New York.

Meanwhile, the plan confirmation hearing scheduled for Nov. 28 was adjourned to 9 a.m. ET on Dec. 6.

According to David Hartie, of Kurtzman Carson Consultants LLC, 127 holders of class 3 senior secured claims (99.22%) voted to accept the plan. The dollar amount of the claims held by those voting was $138.59 million.

One holder of a class 3 senior secured claim (0.78%) voted to reject the plan. That claim is for $10,000.

Only holders of class 3 senior secured claims were entitled to vote to accept or reject the plan. No other classes of claims or interests were entitled to vote.

Global Aviation is a Peachtree City, Ga.-based provider of charter air transportation for the U.S. military and of commercial global passenger and cargo air transportation services. The company filed for bankruptcy on Feb. 5, 2012 under Chapter 11 case number 12-40783.
