Ghana selects banks, sets roadshow for dollar benchmark notes

By Rebecca Melvin

New York, March 13 – The Republic of Ghana has selected banks and scheduled fixed-income investor meetings regarding a possible U.S. dollar-denominated benchmark offering of bonds with an expected weighted average life of 7.12 years and/or longer dated tenor, according to a market source on Wednesday.

BofA Merrill Lynch, JPMorgan, Morgan Stanley, Standard Bank and Standard Chartered Bank will arrange the series of meetings for the Rule 144A and Regulation S notes to be held in the United States and London beginning on Thursday.

The notes, which will price subject to market conditions, are expected to be listed on the London Stock Exchange.
