Gerdau Ameristeel $400 million eight-year notes talked at 10% area, pricing Friday

St. Louis, June 19 - Price talk is 10% area on Gerdau Ameristeel Corp. $400 million of eight-year non-call-four senior notes (B2/B+), according to a market source.

The deal is expected to price on Friday, the source added.

JP Morgan and Banc of America Securities are joint bookrunners on the Rule 144A deal. CIBC World Markets is co-manager.

Proceeds will be used to repay debt.

The company is a Toronto minimill steel producer.
