Moody’s upgrades Georgia-Pacific to A3

Moody's Investors Service said it upgraded Georgia-Pacific LLC's senior unsecured rating to A3 from Baa1.

The outlook is stable.

The commercial paper rating was affirmed at Prime-2.

"The upgrade recognizes Georgia-Pacific's strong business diversity and market positions, which produce stable operating results and good credit metrics," Moody’s senior vice president Ed Sustar said in a news release.
