Moody's affirms NRG, GenOn view to positive

Moody's Investors Service said it affirmed all of the ratings of NRG Energy, Inc. and of GenOn Energy, Inc., along with the debt instrument ratings at GenOn subsidiaries, including GenOn Americas Generation, LLC, GenOn Mid-Atlantic, LLC and GenOn REMA, LLC following the announcement of a stock for stock merger between NRG and GEN.

Concurrent with this action, Moody's revised the outlook for GenOn to positive from negative and revised the outlooks for GenOn Americas, GenOn Mid-Atlantic and GenOn REMA to stable from negative, while maintaining the negative outlook for NRG.
