CVC Credit Partners appoints Newberry to lead private funds venture

Kansas City, Kan., Sept. 7 - CVC Credit Partners has hired Tom Newberry to be senior managing director and head of the firm's private funds business, according to a news release.

"Tom brings 25 years of global credit expertise across both the private and public credit markets. Tom will be integral to expanding our corporate, sponsor and investor partnerships and delivering tailored credit investment solutions alongside our investment teams," CVC chief executive officer Marc Boughton said in a news release.

Newberry joins CVC from Credit Suisse, where he was a managing director and head of global leveraged finance capital markets and syndicated loans. He also previously worked with Deutsche Bank and served on the board of directors of the Loan Syndication & Trading Association.

CVC is an asset management and investment firm based in New York.
