Cantor Fitzgerald adds seven managing directors to emerging markets

Minneapolis, June 14 - Cantor Fitzgerald & Co. is expanding its emerging markets fixed-income sales and trading business with seven new additions, the company announced in a press release.
Stephen Shaw, formerly of Macquarie Capital, Marc B. Appel, formerly of HSBC Bank USA, Ning Lin, formerly of ABN AMRO, Peter B. Schept, formerly of Mesirow Financial, Catalina Borrero, formerly of Barclays Capital, Raul C. Castells, formerly of Altima Advisors Americas LP, and C. Maurice Batista, formerly of Renaissance Capital, all are managing directors. They join Charles Cortellesi and Erich Bauer-Rowe, who were recently named co-heads of the debt capital markets' emerging markets division.
"Cantor Fitzgerald continues to attract talented professionals with deep relationships in the marketplace, who share our unwavering commitment to serving the needs of our clients," Cantor chief executive officer Shawn P. Matthews said in the release.
"The expansion of our emerging markets division is broadening the scope and depth of Cantor's capabilities."
