Prospect News reports three new defaults for week of May 17 - May 23

Pittsburgh, May 25 - Prospect News reported three new defaults for the week of May 17 to May 23.
Specifically, 205 East 45 LLC/EALC LLC and Houghton Mifflin Harcourt filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases during the week, and an involuntary Chapter 11 case was filed against Allied Systems Holdings, Inc.
In addition, Prospect News reported a May 17 Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing made by Circus and Eldorado Joint Venture, which had previously defaulted via a missed principal and interest payment.
These latest defaults increase Prospect News' total of defaults reported so far in 2012 to 76.
Of those, 40 were Chapter 11 filings, nine were missed interest payments, eight were distressed exchanges, five were Chapter 15 bankruptcy filings, four were missed principal payments, two resulted from Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act filings, and one stemmed from missed principal and interest payments, corporate debt restructuring, involuntary Chapter 11 filings, examinership, insolvency, administration, notices of default and acceleration and reorganization.
