Janney hires John Kelly, Elizabeth Caputo to its public finance team

By Tali David

Minneapolis, May 2 - Janney Capital Markets hired John Kelly as managing director and Elizabeth Caputo as director to join the firm's public finance team, according to a press release.

Kelly will focus on large governmental issuers. Previously associated with PNC Capital Markets, he has worked with a variety of public finance issuers over the course of his 20-year career, most recently focused on large governmental issuers in Pennsylvania, including the City of Philadelphia and the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission, Florida and the Midwest.

Caputo joins Janney most recently from Stifel Nicolaus, where she spent the past three years as a first vice president of public finance. During that time, she was responsible for the launch of their East Coast public finance office. At Janney, she will remain focused on middle-market municipal issuers in the State of New York.

"The depth and breadth of experience John and Elizabeth bring to our firm greatly complements the experienced team already in place," Janney managing director and public finance group head Tom Henson said in the release.

"We anticipate their strong track-records of success will help drive the continued growth of our institutional municipal business."

Based in Philadelphia, Janney is a financial services firm that advises individual, corporate and institutional investors.
