Transamerica Bond drops lead portfolio manager Kathleen Gaffney

San Diego, Nov. 8 - Transamerica Funds announced in a 497 filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission that Kathleen C. Gaffney will no longer lead the portfolio management team of the Transamerica Bond, formerly the Transamerica Loomis Sayles Bond until March 1, 2012.

Matthew J. Eagan, Daniel J. Fuss and Elaine M. Stokes will remain as portfolio managers of the fund. They are all employees of Loomis, Sayles & Co., LP, the fund's subadviser.

As previously reported, Gaffney is no longer a portfolio manager for several other funds, including Loomis Sayles Bond Fund, Loomis Sayles Fixed Income Fund, Loomis Sayles High Income Opportunities Fund, Loomis Sayles Institutional High Income Fund, Loomis Sayles Investment Grade Fixed Income Fund, Loomis Sayles Investment Grade Bond Fund, Loomis Sayles Strategic Income Fund, Loomis Sayles High Income Fund, Loomis Sayles Capital Income Fund, the Multi-Sector Bond discipline of the Natixis Diversified Income Fund and Northern Fund's Multi-Manager High Yield Opportunity Fund.

St. Petersburg, Fla.-based Transamerica Asset Management, Inc. serves as the investment adviser to the fund.
