By Tali David
Minneapolis, Jan. 30 - Janney Montgomery Scott LLC further expanded its capital markets business unit with the addition of Charles Engel and Paul Callahan as managing directors in institutional credit sales, according to a press release.
Engel and Callahan, both formerly of MF Global, bring more than 40 years of combined experience in institutional credit sales and trading, Janney said.
At MF Global, Engel was a senior vice president in high-yield sales. At Janney, he will focus on developing the firm's presence in the institutional credit market.
Callahan also previously worked at Samco Capital Markets and First Albany Capital.
Engel will be based in Dallas, where the firm plans to open a satellite office in the near future, and Callahan will be located in New York.
Based in Philadelphia, Janney is a financial services firm that advises individual, corporate and institutional investors.
