Janney Montgomery Scott appoints Tom Henson as head of public finance

San Diego, July 18 - Janney Montgomery Scott LLC said it added Tom Henson as head of public finance for the firm's fixed-income team. Henson will focus on further expanding Janney's middle-market public finance practice across the firm's businesses and will be based in Philadelphia.

Henson brings 25 years of experience in the financial services industry to Janney. He joins from PNC Capital Markets, where he was manager of public finance. Prior to that, he spent 20 years with UBS in a number of positions, including managing director of public finance.

Henson holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri and an MBA from the University of Pennsylvania.

The company said it has added eight high-profile professionals to its fixed-income department since the beginning of the year.

Based in Philadelphia, Janney is a financial services firm that advises individual, corporate and institutional investors.
