"Mary Ann is a talented manager, proven originator and tireless leader who will help us further strengthen our leading equity capital markets platform," Dan Cummings, head of global equity capital markets, said in the release. "We are thrilled to have her rejoin as a member of our leadership team."

Prior to joining the company Deignan spent seven years at UBS, where she served as head of Americas Equity Capital Markets since 2007. She also spent 11 years at Merrill Lynch, where she had roles in equity capital markets and syndicate and institutional sales. She began her career in leveraged finance at Bankers Trust. Deignan earned a bachelor's degree from Mount Holyoke College and an MBA from Dartmouth.
