By Toni Weeks

San Diego, May 3 - Jefferies Group, Inc. has added Jerome Doyle as a managing director in municipal securities trading, according to a press release.

Doyle will be based in the firm's New York office and will focus on high net worth, middle markets and electronic trading platforms. He joins from UBS, where he spent 13 years, most recently as a managing director and manager of UBS' northeast municipal trading group. Previously he worked at PaineWebber as a vice president for municipal trading.

Doyle received his undergraduate degree in finance from the University of Pennsylvania and began his career in municipal trading at Kidder Peabody.

"We are very pleased to welcome Jerome to Jefferies and believe he is a strong addition to our team," commented James McGinley, Jefferies' head of municipal markets, in the release. "His proven track record, product experience and strong industry relationships will significantly enhance our municipal trading capabilities and continue to grow this important segment of our fixed-income business."

Jefferies is a New York-based securities and investment banking firm.
