Six K&L Gates partners resign to form Pacifica Law Group

San Diego, April 6 - Six attorneys, all partners at K&L Gates LLP, have resigned to become co-founders and partners of Pacific Law Group LLP, according to a press release.

The co-founders are recognized in their fields, including bond and municipal law, sophisticated transactions, constitutional law, appeals, litigation and complex dispute resolution.

The new law group will focus on public and private-sector clients in the Pacific Northwest.

"Pacifica Law Group is an extraordinary group of well-established attorneys who deeply understand the dynamics and values that drive northwest companies and public entities," co-founder and partner B. Gerald Johnson said in the release.

Johnson's law practice focuses on major community building projects, including projects that involve both the public and private sectors. He earned his bachelor's degree from Dartmouth College and his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center.

Stacey Cranshaw-Lewis will act as bond counsel to public clients and as ISDA counsel to both public and private clients. She received her bachelor's degree from Brown University and her J.D. from University of Washington School of Law.

Deanna L. S. Gregory practices municipal finance and general municipal law, acting as bond, underwriter and disclosure counsel. She received her bachelor's degree from the University of Washington and her J.D. from Gonzaga University School of Law.

Paul J. Lawrence, with 27 years of experience in appellate and trial litigation in federal and state courts, focuses on municipal, constitutional, environmental, insurance and commercial law. He earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Chicago and his J.D. at the University of Pennsylvania Law School.

Faith Li Pettis is bond counsel and outside counsel to state and local governments, focusing mainly on housing, education and nonprofit finance. She earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Washington and her J.D. from Harvard Law School.

Matthew J. Segal's practice focuses on litigation at the trial and appellate level, including complex appellate matters, constitutional, municipal and media law, insurance coverage, commercial and corporate disputes, and environmental and land-use actions. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Berkeley, and his J.D. from Seattle University School of Law.
