Sidley Austin: Rainer rejoins firm as counsel in public finance

By Melissa Kory

Cleveland, April 4 - Sidley Austin LLP announced that Gisele Rainer rejoined the firm as a counsel in San Francisco's public finance practice.

Rainer focuses on transaction structuring and document preparation as bond counsel, underwriter's counsel, issuer's counsel and borrower's counsel in all areas of public finance.

"Gisele's addition demonstrates the firm's continued dedication to expanding our public finance practice group with quality, experienced lawyers," Eric D. Tashman, a global coordinator of the firm's public finance practice and head of Sidley's West Coast public finance practice, said in a news release.

Rainer has a varied practice representing municipal issuers, underwriters and conduit borrowers of municipal debt in tax-exempt and taxable transactions throughout California and elsewhere in the Western United States, according to the release.

Her transactional experience spans the entire public finance market, including general obligation, revenue, sales tax, assessment and special tax, industrial development and tax increment bonds.

Rainer practiced at Sidley Austin Brown & Wood until 2003.

Sidley is a full-service law firm based in Chicago.
