Blaylock taps Ceresa as executive vice president, municipal finance

Madison, Wis., July 26 - Blaylock Robert Van LLC announced that Robert Ceresa joined the firm as an executive vice president effective July 19.

Ceresa will be responsible for helping to further build the firm's municipal finance sales, trading and underwriting business. He will report to Eric Standifer, president and chief executive officer of Blaylock.

Ceresa has over 30 years of experience in the municipal finance industry. He was most recently partner and executive vice president at Grigsby & Associates, where he opened a New York office for the San Francisco-based firm and developed a municipal sales, trading and underwriting team.

Before Grigsby, he was a senior vice president at M.R. Beal & Co., an investment bank specializing in municipal finance, corporate finance and equity execution.

Ceresa has also worked in the municipal finance departments at E.F. Hutton & Co., Wertheim & Co., Rothschild and Oppenheimer.

Ceresa authored the New York News Letter, a newsletter promoting New York municipalities to institutional investors throughout the country. It was published from 1980 to 1997.

Ceresa holds a Bachelor of Art in history and political science from Iona College and a Master of Art in history and political science from Long Island University. He is a member of the Municipal Bond Club of New York.

Blaylock Robert Van is an investment banking firm based in New York.
