Jefferies hires James McGinley to head municipal securities markets

Milwaukee, June 15 - Jefferies Group Inc. has hired James McGinley as a managing director and head of municipal securities markets, according to a press release.
McGinley will work closely with Alan Greco, head of municipal trading, and Drew Levinson, head of municipal sales.
McGinley was previously with Barclays, where he was a managing director and ran municipal high-grade, taxable and proprietary trading, as well as competitive bidding.
Prior to that, he was a senior managing director in municipal asset management at Bear Stearns, a managing director in portfolio management at Blackrock and a first vice president in municipal research and risk management at Prudential Securities.
McGinley received an M.B.A. from Rutgers University and a B.S. from Lehigh University.
Jefferies is a securities and investment banking firm based in New York.
