Wells Fargo taps Feldman head of public finance, Lipkin desk analyst

Milwaukee, May 20 - Wells Fargo & Co. has hired Nancy Feldman as managing director and head of public finance credit strategies and Don Lipkin as managing director and desk credit analyst, according to a press release.

Feldmen and Lipkin will both be based in New York. Feldman will report to Peter Hill, head of the public finance investment banking segment of government and institutional banking. Lipkin will report to Martin Bingham, head of the sales, trading and syndicate segment of government and institutional banking.

Feldman will focus on strategies for municipal issuers to manage credit ratings, bond structure and execution options.

Lipkin will provide credit and market analytical reports for the top institutional investors and support flow trading.

Feldman was previously the director of the New Jersey Treasury Department's office of public finance. Prior to that, Feldman spent 12 years with Goldman Sachs & Co. and eight years with Standard & Poor's as a credit analyst.

Feldman received her B.A. in economics from State University of New York at Albany and an M.B.A. from Baruch College.

Lipkin joins Wells Fargo from U.S. Trust, Bank of America Private Wealth Management, where he was a managing director, senior research analyst and head of fixed income research. He has also been head of municipal market strategy and credit analytics for Banc of America Securities and co-head of municipal research at Bear Stearns & Co.

Lipkin received a B.A. from the State University of New York at Albany, an M.A. in English and American literature from the University of Maryland and an M.B.A. from the State University of New York at Albany.

Wells Fargo's government and institutional banking business provides a wide range of solutions for government, education, healthcare and not-for-profit organizations.
