By Devika Patel

Knoxville, Tenn., Dec. 8 - Cutler Capital Management, LLC announced in a press release it has hired long-time convertibles trader Arthur Raskin as a trader for the general partner and portfolio manager for the new Cutler Absolute Return Fund, LP.

Raskin will manage the fund with Geoffrey K. Dancey, a Cutler principal, portfolio manager, securities analyst and trader.

Raskin has 37 years of experience trading and managing convertible security portfolios. Prior to joining Cutler Capital, he worked 10 years at Cantor Fitzgerald where he managed a convertibles trading group. His responsibilities included business development and proprietary trading.

Before that, he was a founding partner of Founders, LP, which controlled Forum Capital Markets, LP and Forest Investment Management, LLC. He was in charge of trading at Forum, a broker-dealer specializing in convertible securities.

He also was a portfolio manager at Mentor Partners and a convertibles trader at McMahan Securities Co. LP. He began his career at Salomon Brothers, where he ran proprietary and institutional convertible security trading. He is a graduate of Tulane University.

"Art is well known and highly regarded in the hybrid securities sector, and has more knowledge of and experience with convertibles than almost anyone," Cutler president David Grenier said in the release.

The investment advisory firm has headquarters in Worcester, Mass., and Clearwater, Fla.
