Southwest Securities hires Zarabara, Kendall to trading team

Cleveland, Oct. 19 - Southwest Securities, Inc. named Nick Zarabara as senior vice president, head of corporate trading, and added Peter Kendall as senior vice president on the trading team.

Zarabara will oversee all corporate trading and inventory management functions.

"With the tremendous growth of the taxable fixed income division in recent years, Nick Zarabara's experience and abilities are important assets as we build on our success," Dan Leland, executive vice president and head of taxable fixed income, said in a news release.

Zarabara joined Southwest Securities in 1994 as a trader, following nine years with PaineWebber/UBS. He also worked at Rodman and Renshaw.

Kendall joins Southwest Securities after more than 20 years of experience trading in a variety of securities, including equipment trusts, sinking funds, REITs, Rails, Title XI and other government-guaranteed issues. He has worked for Cowen and Co., A. Webster Dougherty and Co., Sutro & Co. Inc. and RBC Capital Markets.

Kendall will be working in Southwest Securities' San Francisco office and will report to Zarabara in Bloomfield, N.J.

Based in Dallas, Southwest Securities provides securities brokerage, investment banking and securities clearing services.
