By Susanna Moon

Chicago, Jan. 12 - DoubleLine Capital LP said it hired Bonnie Baha, former head of the corporate bond group and corporate credit research at TCW, along with four members of TCW's corporate investment-grade team.

Baha is a senior portfolio manager and head of global developed credit at DoubleLine. Her team members reprise their roles as corporate securities traders and credit analysts, according to a press release.

In addition, Baha joins other sector-focused portfolio managers in supporting Jeffrey Gundlach, chief executive officer of DoubleLine, in his management of the firm's core fixed-income and asset-allocation strategies. Baha worked in a similar capacity during Gundlach's management through Dec. 4 of the TCW Core Fixed Income fund, the release said.

Joining Baha are Ken Austin, Paul Kirste, Anil Lalchand and Monica Erickson.

"With Bonnie and her corporate team, DoubleLine preserves and continues our core fixed-income deliverable to the client as well as our stand-alone strategies in investment grade corporate credit," Gundlach said.

Baha previously was a managing director and portfolio manager overseeing the corporate bond group at TCW for 19 years. Before that, she worked for Deloitte & Touche, where she was a manager responsible for the valuation of publicly traded and privately held companies in a variety of industries. She was a senior analyst with Standard Research Consultants, a former division of Standard & Poor's Corp., and an associate at Kidder, Peabody & Co., where she was responsible for the regional distribution of new issues and secondary offerings of corporate debt and equity securities. Baha received her Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from the University of California at Irvine in 1981 and her Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Southern California in 1986.

Austin is a trader in the global developed credit group at DoubleLine. He worked at TCW for 25 years in the corporate bond department, most recently as senior vice president.

Erickson is an analyst in the global developed credit group at DoubleLine, where she is involved in the analysis and recommendation of specific sectors in the corporate portfolios.

She joined DoubleLine with more than 17 years of investment experience. Erickson was a vice president at TCW since 2007. Before that, she was a vice president at Froley Revy Investment Co. for more than 15 years. She was an analyst for sectors in the convertible universe. Erickson graduated from the University of Southern California in 1993 with a Bachelor of Science degree in business and finance.

Kirste is a trader in the global developed credit group at DoubleLine. Before that, he was a senior vice president at TCW, where he was responsible for trading fixed-income securities from 1986 through 2009. His trading responsibilities included money market instruments, U.S. Treasury and agency debt, and investment-grade corporate bonds. Kirste participated in the TCW multi-strategy fixed-income committee meetings where sector asset allocations were decided. He was also a member of the firm's broker review committee. Kirste received his Bachelor of Science degree in economics from the University of California, at Riverside.

Lalchand is an analyst in the global developed credit group at DoubleLine. Before that, he was a senior vice president with TCW since 1990. In 1994, he joined the fixed-income group as a fixed-income analyst becoming a high-grade corporate credit analyst in 1996.
