Broadpoint taps Murray, Voelker to co-head preferreds, hybrids group

Knoxville, Tenn., Sept. 10 - Broadpoint Capital, Inc. said it has hired Quentin Murray and Michael Voelker as managing directors and co-heads of the preferreds/hybrids group.

Most recently, Murray was a managing director and co-head of preferreds/hybrids at Bank of America. Prior to Bank of America, he was a managing director and head of credit sales at HSBC, where he was responsible for the domestic credit salesforce and also co-headed the firm's preferred stock business.

Murray holds a bachelor's degree from the University of Virginia.

Prior to joining Broadpoint, Voelker was co-head of the investment grade credit division of Bank of America. Prior to Bank of America, he was a managing director and head of credit at HSBC.

He received a bachelor's degree from Fordham University and a master's in business administration degree from the University of Chicago.

The firm is a broker-dealer subsidiary of Broadpoint Securities Group, Inc., an independent investment bank that serves the institutional market and corporate middle market.
