BNP Paribas appoints Luke Edwards to build U.S. convertibles business
By Marisa Wong
Milwaukee, Sept. 2 - BNP Paribas Corporate and Investment Banking announced the appointment of Luke Edwards as the head of its U.S. convertible securities business.
Based in New York, Edwards will report to Namuk Cho, head of flow and structured trading for the Americas.
Edwards will help BNP Paribas launch and expand a U.S. convertible securities business to supplement the firm's equities and derivatives capabilities and support the expansion of its recently acquired prime brokerage unit. This effort will also complement the existing European convertible securities business.
Prior to joining BNP Paribas, Edwards was U.S. deputy chief investment officer for the KBC AIM hedge fund. Edwards has had experience in U.S. proprietary and convertible securities trading at KBC and JPMorgan.
Headquartered in Paris, BNP Paribas is a financial service provider specializing in retail banking, investment solutions and corporate and investment banking.
