Debevoise says bankruptcy specialist Jasmine Powers to become partner

Knoxville, Tenn., May 11 - Debevoise & Plimpton LLP said in a press release that Jasmine Powers will become a partner on July 1. She works in the law firm's corporate department at its New York headquarters.
Powers' practice focuses on bankruptcy and restructuring, including the representation of debtors, investors, creditors and other parties in distressed mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financings and refinancings, complex restructurings and Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings.
Powers has written numerous articles on bankruptcy and restructuring and is a contributing author to the Collier Business Workout Guide (Matthew Bender, 2008). She joined the firm in 1999.
She earned her bachelor's in civil engineering and operations research from Princeton University and her juris doctor from the University of Michigan.
Debevoise is an international law firm based in New York.
