Ziegler expands health-care finance group with three new hires

Knoxville, Tenn., Feb. 9 - Ziegler announced it has hired Lisa Conley as a director, Kerry Rudy as a managing director and co-head and David W. Johnson as a senior managing director and co-head of the firm's health-care finance practice.
In her new role at Ziegler, Conley will focus exclusively on the financing needs and balance sheet management of non-profit health-care providers.
Prior to joining Ziegler, she was a director at Citi Markets & Banking for 11 years, managing nearly $9 billion in tax-exempt bond issuance. In addition, Conley spent four years in Healthcare Finance at Paine Webber. She began her career in finance at Bankers Trust as an industry and portfolio analyst.
Rudy will focus on non-profit hospital financing and will share in the leadership responsibility for the practice.
Prior to joining Ziegler, Rudy was lead coverage banker for large regional health-care systems and community hospitals at Goldman Sachs. There, he focused on the Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma and Texas markets. In addition, Rudy was a senior vice president for 14 years at Lehman Brothers, where he was responsible for government and non-profit new business development in the Southwest region of the United States.
Johnson will also focus on non-profit hospital financing and will share in the leadership responsibility for the practice.
He is a senior health-care investment banker with over 20 years of experience and has senior managed more than $30 billion of financing transactions for U.S. health systems. Ziegler said he is experienced in all aspects of the financing process and is the architect of a comprehensive software package that evaluates the credit profile and corporate debt capacity of health-care systems.
Ziegler is a Chicago-based investment firm.
