Cohen & Co. launches leveraged finance business led by Siemers, Casey

Milwaukee, Dec. 8 - Cohen & Co. Securities, LLC announced the launch of a new comprehensive leveraged finance business, an extension of the firm's capital markets business.

Led by Scott Siemers and Ken Casey, the new business is based in New York. Siemers and Casey will report directly to Christopher Ricciardi, chief executive officer of Cohen & Co.

Previously, Siemers held senior positions in the high-yield trading departments at DLJ, Credit Suisse and JP Morgan and had a senior banking role at Guggenheim Capital Markets.

Prior to joining Cohen & Co., Ken Casey was the head of high-yield trading at Kidder Peabody, Miller Tabak and Guggenheim Capital Markets.

The managing directors for the new business are senior institutional salesmen Larry Berger and Kevin McDonald; senior traders Brad Wendler, Charles Womack and Alan Hunt; and senior research analyst Keith Gudhus. Peter Zipf and Ryan Casey are also part of the leveraged finance team.
