By Marisa Wong
Milwaukee, Nov. 3 - Houlihan Lokey announced that it has hired all of the employees from Libra Securities, which was founded and headed by Jess Ravich.
Libra has been a financing services provider to clients in the gaming industry for the past two decades.
Houlihan Lokey hired Ravich as a managing director and head of debt capital markets for his capital markets and entrepreneurial experience.
"Houlihan Lokey is known as a premier advisor of clients in all areas of corporate finance. Their industry-driven, senior-focused approach to investment banking strongly aligns with our own, and we believe that their client base will benefit from our full range of financing expertise. We look forward to merging our teams as we continue to serve existing and new clients," said Ravich in a press release.
As president and chief executive officer of Libra, Ravich supervised sales, trading, capital markets and corporate finance transactions. Prior to that, he was executive vice president of the fixed-income department at Jefferies & Co. and worked at Drexel Burnham Lambert in high-yield trading.
Ravich graduated from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and Harvard Law School.
Houlihan Lokey is an investment bank based in Los Angeles.
