Jones Day hires former Kilpatrick Stockton attorneys as partners in leveraged finance

Knoxville, Tenn., July 22 - Jones Day announced in a press release that it has appointed Cindy A. Brazell and Douglas S. Gosden as partners representing banks and other financial institutions and borrowers in leveraged finance transactions.

They were formerly partners in the Atlanta office of Kilpatrick Stockton LLP.

Brazell's practice covers complex commercial and banking transactions, real estate finance and related matters, including commercial real estate finance and representation of banks and other financial institutions in syndicated secured and unsecured lending and credit enhancement transactions in all industries.

She has a J.D, cum laude, from Mercer University School of Law, where she was managing editor of the Mercer Law Review from 1988 to 1989, and a bachelor's from Clemson University.

Gosden concentrates his practice on complex commercial and banking transactions as well as debt restructuring and workouts, with emphasis on the financing of mergers and acquisitions, asset-based financing, cash flow lending and structured finance. He represents large national and international banks and other financial institutions in all aspects of loan transactions, as well as borrowers in loan transactions.

Gosden graduated from the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law, and was managing editor of the Law Review from 1986 to 1987. He earned his bachelor's degree from North Carolina State University.
