Alvarez & Marsal hires William Fox as managing director

Pittsburgh, April 29 - Alvarez & Marsal has hired William Fox as a managing director, according to a news release.

With more than 30 years of senior executive and financial management experience, Alvarez & Marsal said Fox specializes in turnaround and business performance improvement efforts for consumer products, retail and global manufacturing companies.

Before joining Alvarez & Marsal, Fox was executive chairman of Nephros Inc. Before that, he was vice chairman of Barington Capital, a group of small cap value investment funds.

According to the release, Fox has served on the boards of several companies and served as chair of audit and special committees.

Fox earned a bachelor's degree in public accounting and a master's degree in business administration from Pace University. He is a Certified Public Accountant.

Alvarez & Marsal is an independent global professional services firm specializing in turnarounds in the private and public sectors.
