Dreyfus High-Yield Strategies Fund announces portfolio manager changes

New York, April 24 - The board of trustees of the Dreyfus High-Yield Strategies Fund approved the appointment of Karen Bater as the primary portfolio manager, according to a news release.

Bater has been a co-primary portfolio manager of the fund since July 2007, the release noted, adding that James Gaul was also named as an additional portfolio manager for the fund.

Bater is director of high-yield strategies at Standish Mellon Asset Management, LLC, an affiliate of Dreyfus Corp., responsible for managing Standish's high-yield portfolios.

Gaul is high-yield sector strategist and senior global credit analyst at Standish, responsible for the retail, aerospace and defense sectors.

Chris Barris remains as a portfolio manager for the fund.

Based in New York, Dreyfus is an asset management and distribution company.
