Piper Jaffray strengthens financial restructuring team with managing director Victor Caruso

Knoxville, Tenn., Dec. 15 - Piper Jaffray Cos. announced in a press release that it has hired Victor Caruso as managing director of financial restructuring.

Caruso has more than 25 years of experience providing strategic financial restructuring advice to management teams, investor groups and other constituencies in Asia, Europe and North America.

Most recently, he was a managing director at Morgan Joseph & Co., where he developed and implemented the firm's restructuring practice. He was previously a partner at Gordian Group LLC, a managing director at Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc. and was a founding member of the Lehman Brothers restructuring group.

Caruso earned a bachelor's degree in business from Miami University in Ohio and a master's of business administration degree from the University of Chicago.

"With over 25 years of experience, Vic has significant financial restructuring capabilities with companies ranging from those in the middle market to the Fortune 500 across a broad range of industries and geographies," Piper Jaffray's co-head of investment banking, Murray Huneke, said in the release. "His extensive background will allow us to expand our differentiated and integrated advisory strategy, which combines our strong advisory, restructuring and capital markets platforms to best serve our clients."

Based in Minneapolis, Piper Jaffray is a middle-market investment bank and institutional securities firm.
