Allen & Overy hires two U.S. leveraged finance partners

By Devika Patel

Knoxville, Tenn., Aug. 20 - Allen & Overy LLP announced it has hired two U.S. leveraged finance partners, Mark S. Wojciechowski and Andrew Mattei. The pair will join the firm's New York office.

Wojciechowski joins as head of North American leveraged finance. He and Mattei will work alongside partner Elizabeth Leckie, who joined the firm's U.S. banking practice from O'Melveny & Myers LLP last year, to strengthen the line-up of banking partners the firm now has in New York.

Wojciechowski and Mattei were, most recently, at Mayer, Brown, Rowe & Maw LLP.

Wojciechowski became a partner in the New York office of Mayer, Brown, Rowe & Maw in 1988. He is a member of the New York State Bar and received his Juris Doctorate cum laude from Indiana Law School in 1981.

Mattei joined Mayer, Brown, Rowe & Maw in 1987, becoming a partner in 1996. He also is a member of the New York State Bar and attended Fordham University School of Law, where he received his Juris Doctorate in 1987.

"The expertise Mark and Andrew bring, coupled with the firm's preeminent leveraged finance practices in Europe and Asia, mean we are now well positioned to meet our clients' needs on a truly global basis. They have a fantastic track record at the forefront of the U.S. leveraged finance market, having built a highly successful practice here in New York," co-managing partner of Allen & Overy's U.S. practice Ian Shrank said in a press release.
