By Caroline Salls

Pittsburgh, May 24 - Goldsmith Agio Helms has hired Jason A. Cohen as a vice president in its distressed advisory and restructuring practice, according to a company news release.

Cohen, who will be based in New York with Goldsmith Agio and Helms, was formerly a special counsel in law firm Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP's financial restructuring department.

While with Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft, Cohen represented debtors, creditors, official and unofficial committees and other parties in interest in numerous restructurings.

Cohen received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Connecticut and his Juris Doctorate from Brooklyn Law School. He is a member of the New York state bar.

Goldsmith Agio Helms' distressed advisory and restructuring practice group provides troubled middle market companies and their lenders, creditors and other constituents with distressed advisory, restructuring and merger and acquisition services in out-of-court workouts and Chapter 11 reorganizations.
