LSTA publishes User's Guide for Distressed Trading Documentation

By Michelle Anderson

Rochester, N.H. April 9 - The Loan Syndication and Trading Association released its User's Guide for LSTA Distressed Trading Documentation on Monday.

"We've had standard documentation set in place for quite some time now," said Alicia C. Sansone, spokesperson for LSTA, adding that it was time for a user's guide to be used in conjunction with its distressed trading documents.

In addition to information regarding how to use the distressed trading documentation, it outlines the related market standards when trading distressed syndicated bank loans, she said.

The document is available on the LSTA website at www.lsta.org.

The LSTA was formed in 1995 by a group of debt traders to establish standard settlement and operational procedures.
