American Capital forms second-lien group

New York, March 5 -American Capital Strategies Ltd. announced the formation of a second-lien group that invests in junior capital, with a concentration on syndicated investments that are distributed through loan sales desks, according to a news release.
John Capperella is the managing director of the new group, Steven Devloo and Ryan Brauns are vice presidents, and Dipalee Rathod, Matt Crumrine and Kathy Grabenstatter are associates.
Capperella joined American Capital after being senior vice president at GE Capital Markets, where he was responsible for structuring and selling all GE junior capital investments.
Devloo joined from the leveraged finance/financial sponsors group at Credit Suisse and Brauns joined from the corporate lending group at GE Capital.
Rathod joined from the leveraged finance group at Deutsche Bank while Crumrine joined from the M&A group at Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein, and. Grabenstatter joined from the corporate finance group at Prudential Capital.
