Moelis hires Robert Crowley to lead homebuilding coverage

By Devika Patel

Knoxville, Tenn., Oct. 9 - Moelis & Co. Holdings LLC announced that Robert Crowley has joined the firm as a managing director based in Boston.

Crowley, who has over thirteen years of investment banking experience, will manage the build-out of the company's Boston office and lead homebuilding coverage.

Crowley joins from UBS Investment Bank, where he was the global head of high yield capital markets. Before being promoted to this position, Crowley was a senior investment banker in the firm's global industrial group, where he led franchises in the homebuilding and environmental services sectors.

Crowley has worked at Salomon Brothers and BankBoston and also was an institutional investor ranked high yield research analyst covering the homebuilding/building materials sectors.

"We have worked with Bob for many years and know he has outstanding client relationships and real expertise in the homebuilding space," Moelis chief executive officer Ken Moelis said in a press release. "Hiring Bob is consistent with our goal of attracting leading talent to expand our reach into new sectors of focus and provide world class advice to our clients."

Following the receipt of regulatory approvals, Moelis will be a New York-based financial advisory and investment management firm.
