Miller Tabak appointments include VP for distressed and reorganized sales, head of research

Des Moines, July 20 - Miller Tabak Roberts Securities, LLC hired Krystyna Bialecki as a vice president in distressed and reorganized sales. Bialecki previously worked at IRJ Research.

Matthew Dundon, previously a senior analyst focused on telecommunications and distressed debt, was appointed head of research. Before joining Miller Tabak Roberts in 2003, Dundon was a lawyer at Alston & Bird.

Other senior management promotions included John Rudd to sales manager for the high yield department.

New hires were Marcin Varanka, formerly of Barclays Capital, and Michael Waln, formerly of Goldman Sachs, as vice presidents in high yield sales; Marino Mazzeo, previously of Maxim Group and UBS, as first vice president and Juan Carlos Cano, previously of Bank of America, as a senior associate, in emerging markets sales; and Marcelo Herz, formerly of Morgan Stanley, as a first vice president and senior analyst covering emerging markets in research.

Frank Romeo and Van Leeper in high yield sales, Michael Levine in convertible bond sales and Matthew Mezzancello in regional dealer sales were promoted to institutional sales.
