Societe Generale forms integrated U.S. Debt Capital Markets Group

New York, June 2 - Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking announced the creation of the U.S. Debt Capital Markets Group, an integrated debt origination and distribution platform in the United States encompassing all of the firm's loan and bond market activities.
The group combines loan and structured debt syndicate, high-yield and mezzanine debt, private placements, and euro bond origination.
The Paris-based financial services firm said that the new group will be aligned with its industry expertise in media & telecom, gaming, lodging & leisure, sports finance, real estate, utilities and oil and gas.
It also will work closely with the firm's product areas, including leveraged finance, securitization, project finance and export and commodity finance.
The company added that Neil Parekh, global head of high yield finance, was appointed as the head of the new group.
In addition Ted Lunney has been named head of high-yield sales and trading, and Terry Sanabria was appointed head of loan sales and trading.
