Alvarez & Marsal hires Decker and team to enhance corporate finance footprint

Pittsburgh, March 22 - Alvarez & Marsal will expand the firm's corporate finance capabilities with the addition of managing director James D. Decker and his investment banking team, according to a company news release.

Decker and his team are based in the firm's Atlanta office and will help build the firm's footprint and capabilities in M&A, financings and corporate restructurings.

For the past seven years, Decker was a managing director at Houlihan Lokey Howard & Zukin, working with mergers, acquisitions, corporate restructurings and financings.

Decker has more than 17 years of investment banking experience with a primary focus on middle market M&A, financing and restructuring advisory services.

He holds an MBA from The Wharton School and a bachelor's degree from Vanderbilt University.

Also joining from Houlihan Lokey are Kevin Vermillion, senior director; Jay Jacquin, director; Porter Jones, associate, and Angela Ulrich, analyst.

In addition, Vineet Batra and Eli Braun recently joined as a director and analyst, respectively, in the New York-based corporate finance group.
