Primus Asset Management appoints Don Young to manage high-yield portfolio

Seattle, March 14 - Primus Asset Management Inc. has hired Don Young as senior portfolio manager for high-yield products, according to a company news release.

In this newly created position, Young will manage high-yield loan and bond assets in structured product and investment vehicles and will report to Charles McLendon, who was recently appointed company president.

Young joins Primus from Octagon Credit Investors, where he worked since 2001 as a principal and high-yield trader. Prior to joining Octagon, Young was senior vice president and manager of the media finance division at Bank of the West and one of its predecessors, First Hawaiian Bank.

Primus Asset Management provides credit swap management services and is a subsidiary of Hamilton, Bermuda-based Primus Guaranty Ltd.
