Imperial Capital expands sales, trading efforts with new hires

Tampa, Fla., Feb. 28 - Imperial Capital LLC said it added additional sales and trading professionals in its New York and California office locations.

The new executives joining the full-service investment bank include the following:

• Andrew Meany, who will be working as vice president, high-yield sales and trading in the New York office. Prior to joining Imperial, he worked at Morgan Joseph in the distressed debt and structured finance group. He has 10 years of trading experience in high-yield and distressed debt, including almost three years in trading European high-yield debt in London for both TD Securities and Dresdner Kleinwort & Wasserstein.

• Harry Friedberg, who will be working as vice president, institutional sales and trading in the New York office. Prior to joining Imperial, he worked as a derivatives trader in foreign exchange and equities at Morgan Joseph and Co. He has over 16 years of trading experience and previously worked as a director of high-yield/distressed sales for Drexel, Burnham, and Lambert, AIG Trading Corp., Standard Chartered Bank, in Singapore and Merrill Lynch International Bank, also in Singapore.

• Courtney Rudnick, who will be working as vice president, institutional sales in the New York office. Prior to joining Imperial, she worked at Guggenheim Capital Markets, where she was managing director of high-yield and distressed sales. Previously, she worked as a senior high-yield research analyst at Goldman Sachs, Barclays Capital and CIBC Oppenheimer, with a focus on U.S. and European wire line telecom.

• Tom Levine, who will be working as vice president, institutional sales in the Beverly Hills, Calif., office. Prior to joining Imperial, he worked at Banc of America securities in institutional equity sales.
