Barclays names Archer head of U.S. leveraged credit risk

New York, Dec. 4 - Barclays Capital appointed Bill Archer as managing director and head of U.S. leveraged credit risk.

Archer will be responsible for the leveraged credit risk management team within the firm's global financial risk management department.

Based in New York, he will report to Ian Prior, managing director and chief credit officer for the Americas.

Archer was previously at Goldman Sachs, where he was a managing director and co-chairman of the firm's capital markets committee.
