Simpson Thacher & Bartlett makes Nicholas J. Shaw partner

Seattle, Nov. 15 - Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP said it elected to promote Nicholas J. Shaw to partner effective Jan. 1.

Shaw's practice focuses on leveraged finance and capital markets transactions. He is a member of the firm's corporate department and is based in the London office.

Shaw graduated from the University of Adelaide in 1991 and received his Bachelor of Laws degree and Masters of Law degree from The University of Adelaide Law School. In 1997, Shaw received a Masters of Law degree from Columbia Law School, where he was a James Kent Scholar and graduated with honors in 1997. He then joined Simpson Thacher in 2000.

Simpson Thacher is a law firm with headquarters in New York and offices in Palo Alto, Calif., Los Angeles, Washington, D.C., London, Hong Kong and Tokyo.
