Ares Management hires Code, Brauer, Schuring, Ferstanding for London office

By Laura Lutz

Des Moines, Sept. 19 - Ares Management Ltd. hired Ross Code, Nina Brauer, Brian Schuring and Lauren Ferstandig as investment professionals with its European leveraged credit team, where they will be responsible for sourcing deals and managing the credit underwriting and documentation process.

Code was most recently with the structured finance group at GMAC Commercial Finance. Before that, he spent five years at Barclays Bank in its leveraged finance group.

Brauer was previously with the leveraged finance team at Allied Irish Bank plc in London and with Commerzbank's leveraged finance team in Germany.

Schuring is transferring from the Ares' capital markets group in Los Angeles office. Earlier, he worked at Houlihan Lokey Howard & Zukin.

Ferstanding is moving from the company's private debt group in New York. Before that, she was at Royal Bank of Canada.

"The additions of these talented professionals is proof that Ares Management is committed to being successful here in Europe, just as it is in the U.S.," said Ares limited managing director Miles Alexander, the senior executive in the London office. "We are in the midst of establishing a top-of-class team that will be very active in the market here and on the Continent."

The company expects to hire more investment professionals in the next few months.

Ares Management Ltd. is the London office of Ares Management LLC.
