Rodman & Renshaw taps Chambers for senior managing director

Des Moines, Aug. 11 - Rodman & Renshaw, LLC appointed John Chambers as a senior managing director, according to a company release.

Chambers' responsibilities will include pursuing and arranging financing and financial advisory transactions for public and private life sciences companies.

Chambers was most recently a managing director and senior biotechnology specialist at SG Cowen. Before that, he was a managing director and senior banker for the biotechnology sector at Lehman Brothers, a managing director and senior banker for the biotechnology sector at UBS and a senior officer in the healthcare group at Salomon Smith Barney.

"We are delighted that John has joined our team. His experience, knowledge and extensive relationships in the life sciences sector will be of great value to Rodman & Renshaw and its clients as we continue to build the firm," Rodman & Renshaw president John J. Borer, III, said in the release.

Rodman & Renshaw is a New York-based investment bank.
